Turning behaviour around - a 2 day program 2012
For beginning and experienced teachers

This 2 day accredited seminar workshop provides teachers with opportunities to:
· Gain knowledge, understanding and insights into student behaviour
· Acquire practical skills and strategies to use in the classroom and school
· Work with a process that makes sense of behaviour management
· Focus on behaviour issues and work through case studies
· Discuss and share ideas with colleagues, ask questions and reflect on teaching practice

Presenter: Jenny Mackay
Jenny is a classroom management and student-teacher interactions skills specialist with a non-didactic approach to behaviour management skills training. Her focus is on the acquisition of practical and useful behaviour management skills and on building collaborative student – teacher relationships.
She has taught in the United Kingdom, the U.S.A., South Africa and Australia. Jenny has presented to teachers at conferences, seminars and individual schools in Metropolitan Melbourne and throughout country Victoria, W.A., N.S.W. and Queensland.

MY204 Managing Student Interactions (Two day program)
This is TLN's premier program for student engagement - two days with international expert and published author on managing classroom behaviour - Jenny Mackay.
These 2 seminars are for teachers who wish to become highly skilled for occasions when students question, challenge, refuse, deny, blame others and avoid work. Jenny Mackay, author of Coat of Many Pockets, will explore; settling students down and getting their attention, confronting difficult and challenging students, having effective consequences that change behaviour and getting students on-side.

MY205 Engage and Motivate Students (One day seminar)
This practical skills-based seminar will focus on students who are disengaged and therefore not learning and in danger of becoming isolated or disruptive. Jenny Mackay will explore with participants; how to motivate students and contain their behaviour, how to counteract apathy and negativity and understand why students become unmotivated. You will learn practical strategies, ideas and techniques with which to engage students and gain their cooperation. You will be able to help them to see themselves more positively and show them how to control their own behaviour and learning.
